Ethiopian: Up until 1941 ostriches lived in Syria, Arabia, and Africa. However, presently they have been hunted to extinction in both Syria and Arabia, and now they can only be found in Central Africa.
Mass: 90 to 130 kg.
Unmistakable. Huge (stands 2 m tall), terrestrial bird. Males are black and white, females gray brown.
